Rosalie Varda-Demy is a producer and the co-founder of Les Films de 7 à 9. She began her career as a costume designer, collaborating with filmmakers including Samuel Fuller, Jean-Luc Godard, Agnès Varda, and Jacques Demy.

Over the course of a 25-year career in theatre and opera, she worked with directors such as Yves Robert, Alain Françon, Bruno Bayen, Robert Fortune, Karine Saporta, and Antoine Bourseiller, contributing to more than thirty operas and a dozen feature films.

In 2007, she took over the family company, Ciné-Tamaris, which manages and distributes the films of Agnès Varda and Jacques Demy. She soon expanded into production, producing films both through Ciné-Tamaris and in collaboration with other partners: MK2, Cinétévé, Agat Films.

Alongside her producing work, Rosalie Varda helps connect new generations of cinephiles with classic cinema, travelling around the world as a Special Advisor at MK2 Films.

She is a board member of the Cannes Film Festival, the Jean Vigo Prize Association and the Nouvelles Vagues Film Festival (Biarritz). She is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States and a member of the French Académie des César.

She actively supports the recognition of women in the film industry through Femmes de Culture, as a member of the board of directors.

Vignet

Valentin Vignet is a producer and the co-founder of Les Films de 7 à 9, a Paris-based production company developing fiction features, series and documentaries built around singular stories and emerging voices.

He comes to producing after fifteen years as a cinematographer. Trained in France, China and at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, he shot Agnès Varda and JR's Faces Places, winner of L'Œil d'Or at Cannes and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

He was also director of photography on Yves Piat's Oscar-nominated short Nefta Football Club, and on For Love, a documentary by Matt Smiley narrated by Shania Twain (Netflix). He has worked with Christophe Gans, Zoé Wittock, Arnaud Valois, Jessica Palud, Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre and Pascal Bourdiaux, and has shot more than a hundred commercials and music videos for Dior, Chanel, EDF and La Poste, and for artists including Skrillex, FKA twigs, Orelsan, Vianney and Jeanne Added.

Valentin has been an executive producer for advertising and music, working with Dior, Chanel, Louis Pion, Nyx Cosmetics and Vogue China, and producing music videos for Vianney, Tyga and Kendji Girac. Valentin also produced the European and North American segments of Lu Chuan's official film of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, distributed by Alibaba Pictures.
